Located on Bull Island in Dublin Bay, Royal Dublin Golf Club offers a historic links experience. The current course, redesigned by Harry Colt in 1919 after wartime damage, is set on sandy soils with fescue-covered dunes and a mix of flat, strategic holes. The final three provide a dramatic finish, including a drivable par 4, a long par 4 with a burn running tight along the right, and the challenging 18th, which doglegs sharply around water. Recent bunker renovations by Frank Pont and Mike Clayton in 2023 have enhanced the course’s character and challenge.
