The Old Links at Ballyliffin, designed by Eddie Hackett, Charles Lawrie, and Frank Pennick in 1973, is praised for its natural feel, with Nick Faldo describing it as “the most natural golf course in the world.” Renovated in 2006 by Faldo, the course features heavily pitched fairways, rolling dunes, and strong coastal winds. The signature par-3 fifth, “The Tank,” plays uphill to a green surrounded by dunes, while the back nine offers stunning views and challenges near the Atlantic Ocean, culminating in a memorable finish.
