Killarney Golf Club: Killeen

Nestled along the shores of Lough Leane in Killarney National Park, the Killeen Course at Killarney Golf and Fishing Club is one of Ireland’s premier golfing destinations. Designed by Eddie Hackett and Bill O’Sullivan in 1972, with updates by David Jones (1991) and Donald Steele (2006), the course is known for its tree-lined fairways, abundant water hazards, and stunning views of the Macgillycuddy Reeks. Highlights include the par-3 10th, with a forced carry over water, and the thrilling par-4 18th, featuring a downhill finish with water guarding the left side. Located just over an hour from Cork and under four hours from Dublin, Killeen marries natural beauty with championship-level play.
